Shall can be used instead of will .

Shall is mainly used with I and we

Shall I phone you this evening? Yes, please.

It's a nice day. Shall we go for a walk ?

Do not use shall with you / they / he / she / it :

Rami will be late. ( not 'Rami shall be')

Shall is used to make an offer or suggestion

Shall I open the window?

Shall we go to the cinema tonight?

Shall is used to ask for advice or instructions :

What shall I tell the boss about this money?

Where shall we go this evening ?

Shall I open the window ?

Compare Shall I ... ? and will you ...?

Shall I shut the door ? (= do you want me to shut it?)

Will you shut the door? (=I want you to shut it)

In modern English will is preferred to shall.

The negative of shall  is shall not ( shan't ).

I shan't be here tomorrow.

I shan't go to the party.
