Special forms of Question – tag :

1) I am has the tag aren’t I ?

    I am doing well , aren’t I ?

2) Need and Dare are treated as full verbs .

We need to go home, don’t we?

You daren’t play that trick again, do you?

3) Used to normally takes did in spoken English tags.

   They used to buy and sell daily, didn’t they?   

4) Imperatives: we usually use shall / will for tags, and the tags may be positive or negatives.

e.g. : Bring me the towels, will you?

      Bring me the towels, won’t you?

      Let’s open our E-mails, shall we?

      Let’s open our E-mails, shan’t we?
